Every Yester Co product is built to last. We back that with a lifetime warranty on manufacturing defects โ€” because if something goes wrong with how it was made, that's on us.

What the warranty does not cover is the natural result of use over time. Steel is durable, but it is not indestructible. This page explains the difference clearly.

What is covered โ€” Lifetime Warranty

The lifetime warranty applies to defects in materials and workmanship that arise from how the product was manufactured. This includes:

  • Structural failure โ€” welds cracking or failing under normal use
  • Drawer mechanism failure โ€” soft-close mechanism failing without misuse or impact
  • Powder coat adhesion failure โ€” coating peeling, flaking, or separating from the steel (not caused by impact or abrasion)
  • Dimensional defects โ€” parts that do not fit together as intended due to manufacturing error

If your product has a defect covered under this warranty, we will replace the affected component or the full product at our discretion, at no cost to you.

What is not covered โ€” General Wear & Tear

The lifetime warranty does not cover damage or deterioration that results from normal use, misuse, or external causes. This includes:

  • Surface scratches and scuffs โ€” from everyday contact with objects, keys, cables, or other items
  • Powder coat chips โ€” from impact, dropping, or dragging the product across hard surfaces
  • Microsuede wear โ€” natural softening or pilling of the drawer lining over time
  • Drawer slide stiffness โ€” gradual change in resistance from regular use over years
  • Discolouration โ€” from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or moisture
  • Damage from misuse โ€” overloading the drawer beyond its rated capacity, or using the product in ways it was not designed for
  • Accidental damage โ€” drops, impacts, or spills

These are the expected results of a product being used. They do not indicate a defect in how it was made.

How to Make a Warranty Claim

Email us at hello@yesterco.net with your order number and a description of the issue.

Include clear photos of the defect. This helps us assess the issue quickly and without unnecessary back-and-forth.

We'll assess your claim and respond within 2 business days. If the defect is covered, we'll arrange a replacement at no cost to you.

We built this product to be used every day for years. A few scratches along the way are proof of that. The warranty exists to protect you from the things that should never happen โ€” not the things that inevitably will.
